Gunung Irau, Pahang

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Enchanting view of Banjaran Titiwangsa.

Mount Irau is located on the border of Perak with Pahang and has a height of 2,110 m (6,924 feet) and it is the highest peak in the Cameron Highlands. It is also known as mossy forest and known as Lord of The Ring's forest.

You have to apply for a permit if you want to climb this mountain and have to make a report before you start your hiking to the Police Station. If I am not mistaken, all of these were manage by Iwan and Amran, we just pay the fees to them and they arranged it.

It was 2 days 2 nights escape.

We departed from UUM, Kedah at night, arrived and sleep at surau for the first night. Then we booked a chalet / house at Cameron Highland for the next night. So the boys sleep at downstairs and girl at bedrooms (very thoughtful and protective of them kan).

So these were snippet photos of us:

The climb usually takes up to 4 hours to reach the top depending on the stamina. It is advisable to start the climb in the early morning to avoid downhill activities in the late afternoon. (you know any uphill and downhill activities at noon is no joke) So you can arrive at the starting point of the climb before nightfall.
